In general, big vehicles move the world. If it needs a big truck, that truck needs a technician. Emergency services. Nationwide shipping. Mass transit. Without them, we’re stranded, we don’t get our deliveries and our trash starts to pile up…metaphorically. That’s where you come in.
FleeTec Academy trains the next generation of elite diesel and trailer technicians from the ground up. You’ll learn from some of the best instructors in the industry, build your own toolkit (of both skills and actual tools) and get paid while you’re at it. Experience isn’t necessary, just a desire to work hard, learn hard and commit to a career of excellence.

We’re invested in giving you the best learning environment possible. As a qualified trainee, you’ll receive all-expenses paid travel to FleeTec’s training facility in Indianapolis, IN. There, you and a small group of classmates will engage in a four-week accelerated learning program with a high instructor to student ratio. Our instructors are well known and respected in the industry, with an impressive collection of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications between them, including an ASE World-Class Master certification.
It’s about more than learning and applying practical skills in a mechanical shop; it’s also about developing personal and professional communication skills you’ll take with you through an ever-developing career.

We train highly skilled technicians who can work on vehicles integrated with innovative technology. That means electrical systems, onboard computers, EV technology and more. The moment you complete FleeTec training, you’ll be qualified to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs. From there, during your two-year commitment to Cox, you’ll have a great tech job, continue to learn valuable skills and even receive mentorship from industry professionals. After those two years, you’ll keep a toolkit worth $20,000…on us.
